<\/a><\/b><\/p>\nVedanta<\/i><\/b>\u00a0 is a synthesis of\u00a0Veda\u00a0<\/i>\u00a0i.e. to know \/ cognise and\u00a0Anta<\/i>\u00a0 i.e. end of it.\u00a0Vedanta Darsana<\/i>\u00a0 is the Ultimate Wisdom beyond which there is nothing left in the entire cosmos to cognise.\u00a0\u00a0Vedanta \u00a0<\/i>has always been the most ancient faith in the world yet not so popular or understood properly. Then the question arises, “What makes a faith \/ religion popular ?”. We shall analyse a few reasons in that regard, also affirmed by\u00a0Swami Vivekananda<\/i>\u00a0 in one of his expositions \u2013<\/b><\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n
It does not have a ‘Holy Book’ !!<\/b>\u00a0Such a book is an instant hit with followers like Koran with Islamists, Bible with Christians etc. It is much easier to collect human allegiance around a ‘Holy Book’. Americans tried several times to raise a religion afresh without a ‘Holy Book’ but came a cropper. And it is true with other countries too. Even the Unitarian movement with best of thoughts sprang and fell because it did not have a ‘Holy Book’ !!<\/b><\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n
Absence of some venerable persona.<\/b>\u00a0When men are offered an embodied prophet to adore, they flock like birds towards him.\u00a0Hindu-s \/ Christians have incarnations while Buddhists \/ Muslims \/ Jews have prophets. However, it does not matter so long as there is a physical personality to cling to.<\/b><\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n
Copyright over The Truth.<\/b>\u00a0For a religion to become popular, it must nurture the absurdity that it alone can peddle the Truth while all others are flukes. So all existing religions that are expanding all over, are fanatical in disposition. More a sect hates other sects, greater is it’s popularity in drawing more followers to it.<\/b><\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n
Vedanta \u00a0<\/i><\/b>does not believe in any of these.<\/b>\u00a0Vedanta<\/i>\u00a0 does not believe that the Truth in it’s entirety, can ever be captured within the confines of a ‘Holy Book’.\u00a0Upanisad<\/i>-s do propound that not by reading ‘Holy Books’ can one know the Real or the Self. Secondly,\u00a0Vedanta\u00a0<\/i>\u00a0does not cling to one person \/ prophet \/ incarnation \/\u00a0Avatara<\/i>\u00a0 etc. No person in gross form can ever be a perfect\u00a0Vedantista<\/i>.\u00a0In\u00a0Vedanta<\/i>, a worm is as much venerable as\u00a0Adi Samkaracarya<\/i>.\u00a0<\/i>‘Aham<\/i>\u00a0Brahmasmi<\/i>‘ is the real\u00a0Vedanta-Mantra<\/i>. Difference lies only in varying degrees of attainments otherwise all are one.<\/b><\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n
Vedanta<\/i><\/b>\u00a0 believes in a democratic\u00a0Isvara<\/i>.<\/b>\u00a0In the spiritual regime of\u00a0Vedanta<\/i>, everyone is\u00a0Isvara<\/i>, the perfect one the moment he \/ she is attained to himself \/ herself. Anyone isolated from others is nothing. When in conjunction with all others, we are a terrific force to reckon with. Everybody has equal power and nobody is monarch in the regime of\u00a0Vedanta<\/i>. Innumerable deities worshipped by\u00a0Hindu-s are various aspects of one Supreme Entity i.e.\u00a0Param Brahmatma<\/i>. They are vassals empowered to serve a specified spectrum of functions exclusive to the status in the cosmic order that they hold respectively. They are empowered to grant material boons and to a deserving few, inculcate spiritual awakening. However, they are not empowered to grant\u00a0Moksa<\/i>.<\/b><\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n
Fundamental perception is that underneath entire gross, physical reality, there is ONLY ONE abstract entity i.e.\u00a0Param<\/i>\u00a0Brahmatma<\/i>, Absolute Consciousness Incarnate albeit dis-embodied. Having created the entire universe,\u00a0Param<\/i>\u00a0Brahmatma<\/i>\u00a0 exists everywhere, governing every aspect of everything in the entire cosmos.\u00a0Physicists call it Unified Field which in reality, is\u00a0Param Brahmatma \u00a0<\/i>alone.\u00a0Creation is real albeit impermanent. The underlying source from which these arise, is permanent, eternal and immortal.\u00a0Hence,\u00a0Maya<\/i>\u00a0 and\u00a0Param Brahmatma<\/i>, both are Real albeit former is mortal while the latter, immortal.\u00a0Time, Space etc. of Physics are the\u00a0Kala<\/i>,\u00a0Akasa\u00a0<\/i>…all emanating from the Unified Field i.e.\u00a0Param Brahmatma \u00a0<\/i>alone. Whether scientific means are competent to explore innards of\u00a0Param Brahmatma\u00a0<\/i>\u00a0is a challenging question today before physicists.\u00a0Siddha Rsi<\/i>-s hold that\u00a0Param Cetana<\/i>\u00a0 of\u00a0Param Brahmatma \u00a0<\/i>can be cognised \/ perceived only with the means of\u00a0Cetana<\/i>\u00a0 alone.\u00a0Maharsi Vyasa\u00a0<\/i>\u00a0too, has stated the same observations in his work\u00a0BRAHMA-SUTRA DARSANA<\/i>.\u00a0Param Brahmatma<\/i>\u00a0 is Self-Caused and the Ultimate-Cause of all.\u00a0He is\u00a0Saccidananda<\/i>, an integrate of\u00a0Sat<\/i>\u00a0 i.e. Truth,\u00a0Cit<\/i>\u00a0 i.e.\u00a0Param Cetana \u00a0<\/i>and\u00a0Ananda\u00a0<\/i>\u00a0i.e. Absolute Bliss. As a homogeneous Spirit, He is\u00a0Suddha-Caitanya<\/i>. He is imperceptible to gross senses hence,\u00a0Atindriya<\/i>. He may be perceived ONLY through ‘divine eyes’ when blessed by a\u00a0Siddha Guru<\/i>. He is unique, unrivalled hence devoid of\u00a0Sajatiya-Bheda<\/i>\u00a0 and there is nothing else within or without\u00a0Param Brahmatma\u00a0<\/i>\u00a0so as to create\u00a0Vijatiya-Bheda<\/i>. Since He has no parts \/ components, He is devoid of\u00a0Svagata Bheda<\/i>\u00a0 too. He is\u00a0Nirakara\u00a0<\/i>\u00a0i.e. being formless, He is omnipresent and ubiquitous. Being devoid of\u00a0Guna<\/i>-s, He is\u00a0Nirguna \u00a0<\/i>and\u00a0Trigunatita<\/i>. Since He is absolutely actionless and desireless, He is\u00a0Niskriyama<\/i>. He may be at times infinitesimally subtle or infinitesimally gigantic too.\u00a0Param Brahmatma<\/i>\u00a0 possesses entire strength and power that may or does exist being immortal substratum of entire existence, animate as well as inanimate. Yet He is NOT\u00a0Sunyata\u00a0<\/i>\u00a0i.e.void. He is\u00a0Antaryami\u00a0<\/i>\u00a0i.e. inner Ruler of all beings, pure, non-material\u00a0Cetana<\/i>\u00a0 of the absolute order.\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n
Pace with which the universe is expanding, may be reversed to estimate the time to reach it’s starting point i.e. when the big bang occurred. It turns out to be some 14 billion years away in an extremely dense and absolutely inconceivable concentrate of time-space-mind-matter-energy. In\u00a0Vedanta<\/i>, big bang is in reality\u00a0Vaksphota<\/i>\u00a0 i.e. explosion of\u00a0Dhwani\u00a0<\/i>\u00a0i.e. sound and the\u00a0Dhwani \u00a0<\/i>happened to be\u00a0AUM\u00a0<\/i>\u00a0i.e.\u00a0Pranava<\/i>. From\u00a0Pranava<\/i>, originated entire universe. Three constituents of\u00a0Dhwani<\/i>\u00a0 i.e.\u00a0A<\/i>,\u00a0U<\/i>\u00a0and\u00a0M\u00a0<\/i>\u00a0constitute three dimensions of\u00a0Akasa<\/i>. Thus, what we call matter, is indeed energy of\u00a0Dhwani\u00a0<\/i>\u00a0!!\u00a0When energy is congealed, so-called matter is created. As a matter of fact, matter does not exist. Entire universe, entire existence is in the manifest of energy of\u00a0Dhwani\u00a0<\/i>\u00a0i.e.\u00a0Spandana<\/i>\u00a0(modulations) alone in various forms.\u00a0Evolution of creation is known as\u00a0Vivarta\u00a0<\/i>\u00a0during the phase of\u00a0Prabhava<\/i>\u00a0 and it’s opposite,\u00a0Avarta \u00a0<\/i>in the phase of\u00a0Pralaya<\/i>. Currently, entire world is in the phase of\u00a0Vivarta<\/i>. Entire multitudinous, pluralistic creation manifests from that homogeneous\u00a0Param Brahmatma<\/i>\u00a0 alone and merges into it upon our waking up to the Truth of His Reality.<\/b><\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n
With such an intense reality of\u00a0Vedanta<\/i>, being most ancient existence and religion, how can it afford to have a ‘Holy Book’, prophet or the doctrinaire belief bordering fanaticism ?\u00a0Vedanta<\/i>\u00a0 is as fundamental to all faiths in the world, prospectively as well as retrospectively, as water is to all drinks.\u00a0Without this basic substance of\u00a0Vedanta Darsana<\/i>, no faith \/ religion can exist or be raised. Everything else is a man-made worthless additive \/ contaminant. Four\u00a0Mahavakya<\/i>-s i.e. most important injunction of\u00a0Veda<\/i>-s declare \u2013<\/b><\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n
Prajnanama Brahma\u00a0<\/i><\/b>\u00a0i.e. Supreme Consciousness alone is\u00a0Brahma<\/i>,<\/b><\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n
Tat Tvam Asi\u00a0<\/i><\/b>\u00a0i.e. Thou art That,<\/b><\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n
Ayamatma Brahma\u00a0<\/i><\/b>\u00a0i.e. The Self within me is\u00a0Brahma\u00a0<\/i>\u00a0and<\/b><\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n
Ahama Brahmasmi\u00a0<\/i><\/b>\u00a0i.e. I am\u00a0Brahma<\/i>. First two are\u00a0Adesa<\/i>, third one is\u00a0Abhyasa\u00a0<\/i>\u00a0while the fourth one,\u00a0Anubhava<\/i>.\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n
Thus,\u00a0Vedanta\u00a0<\/i>\u00a0enunciates and propagates Universal Oneness and not Universal Brotherhood.\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n
How to pursue\u00a0Vedanta Darsana<\/i>\u00a0 so as to be truly spiritualised without touching any of the man-made worthless religious additives or contaminants \u2013<\/b><\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n
Read\u00a0Veda<\/i>-s\u00a0formally with their auxiliaries, inculcate intellectual conviction,<\/b><\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n
Shun actions\u00a0motivated by desires and prohibited actions,<\/b><\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n
Perform elements\u00a0of\u00a0Svadharma\u00a0<\/i>\u00a0and observe penance for unintentional prohibited actions,<\/b><\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n
Meditate\u00a0on deities,<\/b><\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n
Discriminate\u00a0between Real and unreal,<\/b><\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n
Inculcate dispassion\u00a0for unreal goals, both here and hereafter,<\/b><\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n
Inculcate self-restraint, withdrawal of mind\u00a0from objects of senses,\u00a0Sraddha\u00a0<\/i>\u00a0in scriptures and\u00a0Guru<\/i>,<\/b><\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n
Engage\u00a0intellect\u00a0in pursuit of\u00a0Jnana<\/i>,<\/b><\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n
Inculcate\u00a0desires\u00a0for emancipation from deaths and births,<\/b><\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n
Seek a\u00a0Guru<\/i>\u00a0 to be mentored on the path of\u00a0Advaita<\/i>,<\/b><\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n
Listen to expositions and sermons of\u00a0Guru \u00a0<\/i>on\u00a0Atma<\/i>,\u00a0Jivatma<\/i>\u00a0 and\u00a0Param Brahmatma<\/i>, remove obstacles on the path of\u00a0Advaita<\/i>.<\/b><\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n
In this action-plan, all aspects of mundane life\u00a0have been taken care of viz.<\/b><\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n
Active i.e.\u00a0Karmayoga\u00a0<\/i>\u00a0with use of hands,<\/b><\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n
Emotional i.e.\u00a0Bhaktiyoga \u00a0<\/i>with use of heart,<\/b><\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n
Meditative i.e.\u00a0Dhyanayoga<\/i>\u00a0 with use of mind,<\/b><\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n
Intellectual i.e.\u00a0Jnanayoga\u00a0<\/i>\u00a0with use of head.<\/b><\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n
Thus,\u00a0Vedanta Darsana\u00a0<\/i>\u00a0is complete and perfect in all respects.
