Have you ever heard of a country\u2019s top \u00a0leadership cheating the poorest of the poor?\u00a0 Well\u00a0 a\u00a0 research study\u00a0 published by two enterprising retired IPS\u00a0 officers has highlighted the gross discrimination \u00a0practiced by the UPA\u00a0 government against the majority community, namely the Hindus.\u00a0 \u00a0In their seminally researched book, \u2018The Majority Report\u2019, \u00a0Ram Kumar Ohri and Jai Prakash Sharma have laid bare the conspiracy hatched by some bigwigs to rob the daughters and sons of\u00a0 at least 35 crore poorest Hindus (living below the poverty line in villages) of their legitimate share in 20 million scholarships and\u00a0 financial largesse worth several\u00a0 lakh crore rupees on five minority communities, viz., the Muslims, the Christians, the Buddhists, the Sikhs and the Parsis in the name of\u00a0 inclusive development of\u00a0 minorities.<\/p>\n
Will it shock you \u00a0if we were to\u00a0 inform you that in \u00a0sharp contrast to the fabricated findings of\u00a0 Sachar Committee in four out of the five globally recognized \u00a0major human development indices the Hindus happen to be the most disadvantaged religious community in India? \u00a0\u00a0The five major \u00a0globally recognized human development\u00a0 indices are\u00a0 Infant Mortality, Child Mortality, Life Expectancy at Birth, Degree of\u00a0 Urbanisation and Literacy.\u00a0 \u00a0It stands conclusively proved by the data available in \u00a0the public domain that the so called\u00a0 five minorities privileged by the UPA for extraordinary favours which include the Muslims, the Christians, the Buddhists, the Sikhs and the Parsis are far better placed\u00a0 than the Hindus in Infant Mortality, Child Mortality, Life Expectancy at Birth and Urbanisation.\u00a0 Only in Literacy the Hindus with an average of\u00a0 65.1 percent \u00a0are \u00a0\u00a0better placed than the Muslims who have a literacy average \u00a0of \u00a059 percent.\u00a0 But the four minorities, i.e., the Christians having 80.3 literacy, the Buddhists having 72.7%, the Sikhs\u00a0 having\u00a0 69.4%\u00a0 and\u00a0 the\u00a0 Parsis\u00a0 having 97.7 literacy average \u00a0are the real show stealers in education and literacy.\u00a0 Yet millions of scholarships were showered on them, too, along with Muslims.\u00a0 The reason best left unstated \u00a0\u00a0–\u00a0 just\u00a0 to make you\u00a0 scratch \u00a0your head!<\/p>\n
Dear\u00a0 reader, it will surely shock, \u00a0beyond belief that according to the data released by the former Minister of Minority Affairs, Salman Khurshid,\u00a0 on May 29, 2012,\u00a0 approximately twenty million scholarships (i.e., 2 crore freeships) were awarded to the students of the five minorities, while the poorest of the poor children among the country\u2019s\u00a0 80\u00a0 per cent\u00a0 population were not given even one single scholarship simply because they belonged to the politically-pariahed majority community, i.e., the Hindus?\u00a0 In the garb of \u2018inclusive development\u2019 a ruthless and soulless programme of\u00a0 \u2018exclusive development of five \u00a0minorities\u2019 constituting 20 per cent of\u00a0 India\u2019s population was implemented for 6 years by trampling upon the Right to\u00a0 Equality of\u00a0 the majority community comprising \u00a080 percent of\u00a0 the nation\u2019s population! \u00a0India has nearly 96-98 crore Hindus out of which at least 37.2 \u00a0percent\u00a0 (according to Suresh Tendulkar Report) live below the poverty line, The approximate number of\u00a0 these les miserables<\/i> whose children ought to have been given scholarships and cheap\u00a0 educational loans comes to 35 crores<\/p>\n

The Majority Report gives a summarized account of the unprecedented discrimination being practiced against the poorest sections of Hindu society.\u00a0 Unfortunately, most Hindu leaders being well-to-do members of the community have ignored the\u00a0 indignities and scorn heaped upon the children of \u00a035 crores of \u00a0Hindu poor scattered across \u00a0distant villages in rural area. \u00a0Just imagine that for educating the children of\u00a0 20 percent minorities two \u00a0crore scholarships were provided exclusively by Salman Khurshid.<\/p>\n
The enormity of the fraud and \u00a0grave injustice done to the poorest can be gauged from the fact that for recompensing\u00a0 several\u00a0 crore\u00a0 unwashed\u00a0 and\u00a0 apartheid Hindu children \u00a0in education a provision of 8 crore scholarships will have to be made.\u00a0 That is a mission impossible, you will \u00a0surely admit !<\/p>\n
Through their book the two authors have sought a public debate on the deprivation and discrimination heaped on the daughters and sons of the\u00a0 poorest of the poor\u00a0\u00a0 –\u00a0 perhaps merely because they\u00a0 happen to be Hindus !<\/p>\n
