Al-Qaeda is at the\u00a0 gates, and there are enough jihadis within already.<\/span><\/p>\n Intelligence\u00a0 agencies say the terror network is making inroads into India, sowing the seeds\u00a0 of a “final war” across the country.<\/span><\/p>\n Information\u00a0 gathered on al-Qaeda’s India plans points to a mobilisation of its resources for\u00a0 jihad. <\/span><\/p>\n The ideological\u00a0 goal of the group, as detailed in the report, is chilling: Ghazwa-e-Hind, or the\u00a0 final battle in India. <\/span><\/p>\n +3<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n Tribal militias from Pakistan (in photo) are prime\u00a0 candidates for the Ghazwa-e-Hind<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/p>\n Ghazwa-e-Hind\u00a0 refers to an indoctrinated view of a final apocalyptic war in which India will\u00a0 be conquered by a jihadi army. All soldiers of this army are guaranteed a place\u00a0 in heaven. <\/span><\/p>\n This term is\u00a0 freely used in jihadi circles and on the web, but is considered bizarre by\u00a0 others. <\/span><\/p>\n Sources say the\u00a0 security establishment has been on the trail of launch-pads being set up within\u00a0 the country, and is also in touch with its counterparts in West Asia in order to\u00a0 crack the growing network.<\/span><\/p>\n An intelligence\u00a0 report on India being used a hunting ground for global jihad reveals al-Qaeda’s\u00a0 diabolic roadmap. <\/span><\/p>\n To begin with, the\u00a0 terror group that was created and led by Arab fighters now has recruits from\u00a0 Kashmir-centric groups.<\/span><\/p>\n +3<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n <\/p>\n “Not only\u00a0 Kashmiri groups but Taliban and al-Qaeda affiliates have stakes in the larger\u00a0 scheme of Ghazwa-e-Hind where India is regarded as next battleground in the ‘End\u00a0 of Times’ battle. This ideology is likely to be used to drive Taliban and\u00a0 al-Qaeda affiliates into Kashmir,” says an intelligence report. <\/span><\/p>\n The al-Qaeda nexus\u00a0 with Kashmir-centric groups indicates it has a readymade jihadi framework in\u00a0 India. <\/span><\/p>\n There is other\u00a0 proof too of al-Qaeda using its nexus with Indian groups to spread its ideology.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n An online English\u00a0 publication of al-Qaeda called Azan which is not available to the general public\u00a0 but is circulated through changing e-mails and encryption tools is being\u00a0 downloaded by Kashmiri groups. <\/span><\/p>\n Sources say this\u00a0 only underlines the trend of terror groups within India getting attracted to the\u00a0 al-Qaeda and global jihad ideology. <\/span><\/p>\n Agencies fear that\u00a0 the Azan tactic of spreading the terror group’s ideology could spawn anonymous\u00a0 and isolated modules that will be difficult to detect but potent enough to carry\u00a0 out big attacks. <\/span><\/p>\n Intelligence\u00a0 reports also state that groups like Tehreek-e-Taliban have declared they will\u00a0 open ‘offices’ in Kashmir. <\/span><\/p>\n It has been\u00a0 revealed that a Taliban flag was hoisted at a point overlooking Srinagar last\u00a0 year, and the walls of Hari Parbat fort were painted with slogans like ‘Welcome\u00a0 Taliban.’ <\/span><\/p>\n Sources say there\u00a0 is an urgent need for the home ministry and intelligence agencies to understand\u00a0 the threat. <\/span><\/p>\n “Indicators need\u00a0 to be monitored to prevent the situation from worsening,” said one official.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n Al-Qaeda’s\u00a0 propaganda arm, Al Sahab, released a video recently, titled ‘Why is there no\u00a0 storm in your ocean?’ The report states that the video and transcripts were\u00a0 posted on several jihadi forums.<\/span><\/p>\n The videos have\u00a0 speeches asking youths from Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Gujarat and South India\u00a0 to join the global jihad. Incidentally, these are the areas where young men were\u00a0 recruited by the Indian Mujahideen (IM), India’s homegrown terror group that has\u00a0 become synonymous with bomb blasts in public places. <\/span><\/p>\n With the IM facing\u00a0 a major setback because of a series of arrests, including that of its top leader\u00a0 Yasin Bhatkal, sources say Indians fighting in Iraq for terror group Islamic\u00a0 State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) are part of larger scheme. <\/span><\/p>\n Many more recruits\u00a0 are getting attracted to the global jihad that can later be used to wage war\u00a0 against India. <\/span><\/p>\n There are also\u00a0 distinct inputs on al-Qaeda running a separate terror module in India as the\u00a0 homegrown terror outfit IM is making efforts to go global and establish strong\u00a0 links with groups like al-Qaeda, Taliban and Hizbut Tahrir. <\/span><\/p>\n There is also\u00a0 evidence of al-Qaeda keeping a close watch on activities in India.
