\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>We are living in interesting times. A comical debate about intolerance of<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>Hindus, initiated by<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>a<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>communal<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>cabal supported by the Congress Party, is raging across the country.<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>A number of<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>communalists, masquerading<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>as secularists, have been railing against the Narendra Modi led<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>government by painting it as intolerant.<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>Some <\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Bollywood<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>biggies<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>like Aamir Khan and Shahrukh Khan have joined the raucous mob of <\/span>\u00a0<\/span>protestors.<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>Even<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>the well known musician, A R Rahman, has jumped into the flawed debate.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>Worldwide <\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Hindus<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>are known <\/span>\u00a0<\/span>to be one of the most tolerant and pacifist communities. The narrative<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>of<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>their immense <\/span>\u00a0<\/span>tolerance of the<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>savage persecution by the Muslim and Christian<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>invaders<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>is<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>a<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>heart-rending chapter of our eerie history. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>Taking undue advantage of the<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>Hindu tolerance the UPA government led by Sonia Gandhi and Dr Manmohan Singh practiced blatant discrimination against them on several occasions<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>in broad daylight.<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>Yet<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>no secular -communalist<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>protested, nor raised his or her voice against discrimination against the majority community. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>To set the record straight, some<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>prominent instances of<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>intolerance<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>against Hindus<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>perpetrated during<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>the ten year long UPA regime must be recounted to set the record straight.<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>In the year 2011 , the then Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde, announced with the beat of drum that<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>a Muslim IPS officer was being appointed as Director of the Intelligence Bureau. In the process three Hindu competent IPS officers, senior to the Muslim incumbent<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>were superceded unceremoniously. The three senior officers having better record<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>than the Muslim officer were V. Rajagopal,<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>R.N. Gupta and Yashovardhan Azad. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Astoundingly neither<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>the ever-ebullient media, nor any secular busy body dare accuse the ruling duo, Sonia-G and Dr. Manmohan Singh<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>of intolerance and discrimination. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>Another instance of intolerance<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>and <\/span>\u00a0<\/span>gross discrimination against Hindus<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>was displayed <\/span>\u00a0<\/span>in 2013 when a new Lt. Governor <\/span>\u00a0<\/span>of<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>Delhi was to be appointed. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span>In response to an RTI<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>inquiry by Subhash Agarwal it was revealed that a panel of<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>the following<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>names had been proposed for the post of<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>Lt. Governor<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>in a Home Ministry note on 5<\/span>th<\/span><\/sup> October, 2012 :<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n

    It was clear that a decision had already been taken by the powers-that-be<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>to <\/span><\/p>\n

    ensure that <\/span>\u00a0<\/span>no <\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Hindu shall <\/span>\u00a0<\/span>be appointed as Lt. Governor of Delhi. According to the Lutyen\u2019s gossip gazette a verbal command to this had been given by an adviser close to Sonia Gandhi. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Ultimately the choice of the Adviser <\/span>\u00a0<\/span>fell <\/span>\u00a0<\/span>on <\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Najeeb Jung, a former Vice Chancellor of<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>Jamia Millia Islamia who had organized a demonstration alleging<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>that<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>the Batla House shoot out of<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>September 19, 2008, was a fake encounter staged by Delhi Police against the Indian Mujahideen. <\/span><\/p>\n

    \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>Interestingly one of<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>the retired officer on the panel had faced a CBI investigation. The total exclusion of<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>Hindus, howsoever honest, <\/span>\u00a0<\/span>from the panel reminds one of the infamous remark of<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>Maulana Mohamed Ali in April 1924, that even a fallen Muslim was better than a good Hindu like Mahatma Gandhi ! <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>The most important instance of<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>intolerance, however, <\/span>\u00a0<\/span>was the famously infamous statement of <\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Dr. Manmohan Singh on December 9, 2006, was that in future the Muslims and minorities will have the first claim to India\u2019s resources. With that historic statement <\/span>\u00a0<\/span>of the then Prime Minister the fate of Hindus was sealed by pushing them down as second class citizens who will have to be content with the crumbs left-over by the Muslims and other minorities. The said statement was made by the then Prime Minister on the birthday of <\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Sonia Gandhi due to some mysterious reason.<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>And thereby hangs a shadowy tale !<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n

    \u00a0 <\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>Another glaring instance of<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>intolerance was the<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>appointment by the UPA of Leela Samson as chief of the Kalakshetra and the Censor Board. Her sole qualification for selection for the two top posts was her close connection with Sonia Gandhi on<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>the Christian net. She had been a dance teacher to Priyanka Vadra, too.<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>During her tenure she worked over-actively to erase the Hindu identity of<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>Kalakshetra by removing the Hindu symbols and <\/span>\u00a0<\/span>icons like Lord Ganesha, apart from being neck dcep into corruption. She also cleared Aamir Khan\u2019s controversial movie <\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u2018PK\u2019 despite the film <\/span>\u00a0<\/span>containing highly objectionable scenes casting slur on the Hindu faith. <\/span><\/p>\n

    Discrimination Against Poorest Hindus<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

    \u00a0 <\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/b>Not many people know that\u00a0by using the flawed and fabricated \u00a0findings of Sachar Committee, Salman Khurshid, the \u00a0former Minister of Minorities Affairs, robbed the unlettered daughters and sons of nearly 34 crore Hindus living below the poverty line, mostly in rural areas. The High Level Committee chaired by\u00a0Justice Sachar\u00a0was born in sin of\u00a0 grave constitutional impropriety. The task assigned to Justice Sachar had been entrusted in 1992 by the Indian Parliament to the National Minorities Commission by enacting a special law called\u00a0The Minorities Commission Act, 1992.\u00a0All\u00a0 responsibilities for\u00a0 protection of the rights of minorities\u00a0\u00a0 and ensuring their welfare had been assigned by the Parliament in terms of the\u00a0 aforesaid legislation to the Minorities Commission.\u00a0 Therefore the very act of the\u00a0Prime Minister\u00a0constituting a High Level Committee in March 2005,\u00a0by an executive fiat for one single religious minority was \u00a0patently unconstitutional\u00a0and bad in law.\u00a0 The worst \u00a0aspect of the sinister move, however, was that Justice Sachar did not inform the PM that what was being was a blatant violation of the Constitution.<\/p>\n

    For\u00a0 decades a false \u00a0and\u00a0 unsubstantiated\u00a0 bogey has\u00a0 been\u00a0 propagated\u00a0 across the\u00a0country that economically and educationally, Muslims are more disadvantaged than the Hindus.\u00a0\u00a0This falsehood \u00a0is\u00a0 being\u00a0 unabashedly\u00a0 used\u00a0 by the\u00a0 powerful\u00a0 pro-Muslim \u00a0vote bank lobby to bestow many unmerited benefits and\u00a0 concessions,\u00a0including\u00a0 nearly twenty million scholarships and concessional educational loans exclusively on the Muslims and four other minorities.\u00a0 But it was revealed by\u00a0Salman Khurshid\u2019s\u00a0Press Conference on May 29, 2012, that\u00a0not one single scholarship was given to the daughter or son of the poorest Hindu.\u00a0 Nor was any cheaper educational or entrepreneurial \u00a0loans advanced to any Hindu poor,\u00a0while funds worth several lakh crores \u00a0were advanced to the\u00a0 children of doubly blessed five minorities, namely the Muslims, the Christians, the\u00a0Buddhists, the\u00a0Parsis and the Sikhs.<\/p>\n

    Religion-baed Strategy of Discrimination<\/b><\/p>\n

    This strategy of religion-based discrimination was implemented in pursuance\u00a0 of\u00a0 the\u00a0 communally divisive\u00a0 vote bank policy enunciated in the Prime Minister\u2019s notoriously\u00a0 famous\u00a0 \u201cMuslims First\u201d\u00a0 policy\u00a0 statement made on December 9, 2006. Inexplicably the aforesaid policy statement was made by\u00a0Dr. Manmohan Singh\u00a0\u00a0on the\u00a0 birthday\u00a0 of\u00a0 Sonia Gandhi,\u00a0 Chairperson \u00a0of \u00a0the \u00a0United Progressive Alliance.<\/p>\n

    The worst aspect of the ongoing discrimination is that\u00a0crores of\u00a0 poor Hindus belonging to the perennially \u00a0famished \u00a0hoi polloi\u00a0\u00a0of\u00a0 rural India and those living in jhuggies have been deliberately deprived of any share in \u00a0the 20 million scholarships awarded to the\u00a0 five minorities,\u00a0 including\u00a0 four economically and educationally better placed\u00a0 communities than the Hindus. These four super-privileged minorities are the Christians, the Parsis,the \u00a0Buddhists and\u00a0 the Sikhs all of whom happen to be show stealers in literacy average, economic\u00a0 prosperity and education.<\/p>\n

    The data \u00a0pertaining to infant and child mortality, degree of urbanization\u00a0and life expectancy at birth available in public domain proves that\u00a0it is the Hindus, not the Muslims, who are the most disadvantaged religious group.\u00a0Following are the five major globally recognized human development indicators :<\/p>\n

    i)\u00a0\u00a0 Infant Mortality;<\/p>\n

    ii)\u00a0 Child Mortality;<\/p>\n

    iii)\u00a0 Life Expectancy at Birth;<\/p>\n

    iv)\u00a0 Degree of Urbanisation ;<\/p>\n

    v)\u00a0 Literacy.<\/p>\n

     <\/p>\n

    Clearly the Hindus are far behind the Muslims in the first four human development indices,\u00a0except literacy in which Hindus with 65.1 percent literacy are marginally ahead of Muslims who have the literacy average of\u00a0 59.1 percent. But\u00a0Justice Sachar\u00a0did not have the moral courage to identify and write that one single factor responsible for lower Muslim literacy average was the lower ratio of literacy among\u00a0 Muslim women\u00a0at a meagre\u00a0 50.1 percent.\u00a0 It was lower by 3.6 percent than the national average of female literacy at 53.7.\u00a0 Thus, this \u00a0important cause of lower female literacy among Muslims ignored by Justice Sachar was the diktats of Muslim religious leaders restricting education of girls beyond a certain age and insistence on the customary\u00a0 veil.<\/p>\n

    Plight of Hindus Living Below Poverty Line<\/b><\/p>\n

    Unfortunately\u00a0 most Hindus,\u00a0 including their \u00a0spiritual gurus, telemedia\u00a0analysts, self-anointed intellectuals and political leaders\u00a0 belong to the prosperous fraternity and well-to-do middle class.\u00a0 Their children do not need free scholarships. \u00a0No wonder they have thus remained indifferent\u00a0 to the pathetic economic condition of the\u00a0 poorest Hindu masses, especially those trapped in the terminally ill rural areas. \u00a0\u00a0These busybodies strutting across the political and spiritual universe have never cared to know that in four out of the five\u00a0 globally recognised human development\u00a0 indices, the\u00a0 majority community is lagging behind the Muslims, the Christians, the Buddhists, the Parsis and the Sikhs.<\/p>\n

    That explains how the children of\u00a0 34-35 crore\u00a0 poorest Hindus were led to slaughter on the altar of Sachar Report!\u00a0 The daughters and sons \u00a0of nearly 340 million poorest Hindus were robbed in broad daylight of their rightful share in 20 million scholarships by the ruling politicians\u00a0 in an ugly bid to promote the \u2018exclusive development\u2019 of five minority communities. And lo and behold,\u00a0this deprivation of the poorest Hindu children was done in the garb of \u2018inclusive development\u2019 !<\/p>\n

    The ongoing \u00a0discriminatory policy \u00a0against the majority\u00a0 religious group, mostly the rural Hindus,\u00a0 was launched by the Prime Minister with great fanfare in June, 2006,\u00a0in the garb of\u00a0 Prime Minister\u2019s New 15 Point Programme for Welfare of \u00a0Minorities.\u00a0 Through a sleight of hand, the poorest Hindu children were deprived of\u00a0 any share in twenty million scholarships showered on Muslim, Christians, Buddhists, Parsis and the Sikhs.<\/p>\n

    The most shocking aspect of this biggest post-independence conspiratorial scam is that the Christians, Buddhists, Parsis and the Sikhs are the real show-stealers in literacy and education\u00a0\u00a0 \u2013\u00a0 miles \u00a0ahead of\u00a0 the Hindus.<\/p>\n

    Falsehood\u00a0 Publicised in Sachar Report<\/b><\/p>\n

    A careful \u00a0examination of Sachar Report reveals a series of\u00a0 ugly tricks\u00a0devised\u00a0 to\u00a0 trample\u00a0 upon\u00a0 the\u00a0 Right to Equality of \u00a0eighty\u00a0 percent\u00a0 citizens\u00a0 of\u00a0 India on the\u00a0 ground of\u00a0 religion. \u00a0Could it\u00a0 be\u00a0 that the poorest\u00a0 students belonging to the majority community\u00a0\u00a0 are being denied\u00a0 proportionate share in millions of\u00a0 scholarships and financial largesse worth thousands of crores because they happen to belong to the politically-pariahed\u00a0 religion called Hinduism? \u00a0No Hindu or non-Hindu political leader showed the guts to question this\u00a0 implementation of\u00a0 \u2018exclusive\u00a0 minority\u00a0 development\u2019\u00a0 programme tom-tomed as\u00a0 \u2018inclusive growth\u2019.<\/p>\n

    Enumerated below are two \u00a0prominent instances of fudging of facts by Justice Sachar in his report.<\/p>\n

      \n
    1. Justice Sachar\u00a0deliberately refused to consider the documented fact that according to the National Family Health Surveys \u00a0Nos. 1 (1992-93)\u00a0 and 2 (1998-1999)\u00a0\u00a0the Muslims were better placed than Hindus in four major human development indicators,\u00a0namely the Infant Mortality, Child Mortality, degree of Urbanisatioin and Life Expectancy at Birth. After admitting this important fact on pages\u00a0 37-38 of his report,\u00a0Justice Sachar took recourse to\u00a0suppressio veri, suggestio fallaci,\u00a0by attributing it to the highly inventive argument that it could be due to better child feeding practices prevalent among Muslims. \u00a0Instead of candidly admitting that the Muslims were better fed and had access to better medical care the retired Chief Justice decided to weave the yarn of \u2018better child feeding\u2019 \u00a0practices among Muslims. Could there be a worse example of falsification of\u00a0 the data available in public domain?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

       <\/p>\n

        \n
      1. Another instance of\u00a0\u00a0suppressio veri, suggestio falsi\u00a0\u00a0is the horrid description of the plight of Muslim women on page 13 (Chapter 2) which was \u00a0false beyond belief. \u00a0It boggles the mind:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

         <\/p>\n

        \u201cEverything beyond the walls of the ghetto is seen as unsafe and hostile\u2013markets, roads, lanes and public transport, schools and\u00a0hospitals, Police Stations and government\u00a0 offices.\u201d<\/p>\n

         <\/p>\n

        Can any Indian honestly believe that Muslim women are treated so shabbily in India ?\u00a0 Many of them like\u00a0 Sabah Naqvi, Teesta Setalvad\u00a0 and Shazia Ilmi\u00a0 have been\u00a0 boldly participating in debates on several \u00a0television channels.<\/p>\n

        Many more instances of fudging of facts and propagating lies can be cited from the report \u00a0of \u00a0Justice Sachar.\u00a0\u00a0 These \u00a0are \u00a0being left out because of \u00a0shortage of space.<\/p>\n

        To sum up, a systematic and rational\u00a0 analysis of the comparative\u00a0 scores of the Hindus and the Muslims in various human development indices reveals\u00a0 that in the first four globally recognised economic development indicators the Hindus are lagging far behind\u00a0 the Muslims and four other religious minorities, namely the Christians, the Buddhists, the Parsis and the Sikhs.\u00a0This truth was established four times by four different studies, though Justice Sachar ignored\u00a0 the documented truth \u00a0for reasons best known to him.<\/p>\n

        Rebuttals Galore\u00a0 of\u00a0 Justice Sachar\u2019s \u00a0Report<\/b><\/p>\n

        The\u00a0 first well-documented\u00a0 rebuttal of the\u00a0 flawed findings of Justice\u00a0Sachar\u00a0 came on September 2, 2006, when a paper\u00a0 was\u00a0 circulated by Prof. Sanjay\u00a0Kumar of the Centre of Studies for Developing Studies, New\u00a0 Delhi, in a seminar organized at the prestigious Indian Institute of Public Administration. The\u00a0 research of Prof. Sanjay Kumar presented in a packed hall of \u00a0distinguished scholars in the auditorium of\u00a0 the I.I.P.A. revealed that there was hardly any difference in the economic and educational status of the Hindus and the\u00a0 Muslims.<\/p>\n

        The\u00a0 indepth research based on a survey by the\u00a0 Centre for Developing\u00a0Societies further highlighted that\u00a0the proportion of\u00a0 \u2018the very poor\u2019\u00a0 Indians was higher among\u00a0 the Hindus than among the \u00a0Muslims.\u00a0\u00a0The survey conducted in the year 2004 showed that the percentage of \u2018very poor\u2019 Hindus was 31 percent while the percentage of the \u2018 very poor\u2019\u00a0 among Muslims was only 24 percent. Thus, on the basis of\u00a0 the CDS survey the percentage of the \u2018very poor\u2019 people among the Hindus was nearly 25 percent higher than among the Muslims ! It was a very \u00a0significant finding of Prof. Sanjay Kumar, based on a survey comprising 27,000 random samples.<\/p>\n

        Mysteriously \u00a0this important finding based on a survey \u00a0was ignored by Justice Sachar despite a \u00a0clear directive in the Prime Minister\u2019s Notification dated\u00a0 March 9, 2005\u00a0to the \u00a0High Level Committee to\u00a0\u201cobtain relevant information from Departments\/ \u00a0agencies of\u00a0 the Central\u00a0 & State Governments and also\u00a0 conduct an intensive literature survey to identify\u00a0 the published data, articles, and research on \u00a0relative\u00a0\u00a0 social, economic and educational status of Muslims in India at the \u00a0State, regional and district levels\u201d\u00a0 to address the problems faced by Muslims.<\/p>\n

        More\u00a0 importantly,\u00a0 Prof. Sanjay Kumar\u2019s research paper highlighting these important\u00a0 findings was duly sent to Justice Sachar by our\u00a0 Thinktank ,Patriots\u2019 Forum\u00a0 with a formal request to give us an audience. \u00a0But the former Chief Justice of Delhi High Court \u00a0chose to ignore the truth altogether.<\/p>\n

        The second rebuttal\u00a0 of Justice Sachar\u2019s fabricated findings came in October,\u00a02010 when the National Health Survey- 3 (2005-2006)\u00a0 revealed a quantum\u00a0jump of \u00a05.4 years from 62.6 years in the life expectancy of Muslims within a short span of 7 years, i.e., between 1998 and 2005.\u00a0 The advantage \u00a0which \u00a0Muslims had over their Hindu counterparts in life expectancy at birth was \u00a0barely 1.2 years in 1998-1999, but it grew to 3 years in 2005-2006, as revealed by the\u00a0 National Family Health Survey -3.<\/p>\n

        And the \u00a0master mystery of mysteries was that the results of the National Family Health Survey of 2005-2006 were released in October, 2010\u2013i.e. after a long delay of four years!\u00a0\u00a0This inordinate delay was responsible for facilitating the implementation of Sachar Committee\u2019s recommendations favouring the Muslim community.\u00a0The\u00a0 discriminatory largesse of 20 million scholarships and cheaper educational and entrepreneurial loans of several lakh crore rupees was showered on Muslims, along with 4 minorities in gross violation of the Right to Equality enshrined in the Constitution.<\/p>\n

        The third rebuttal \u00a0of Justice Sachar\u2019s fudged facts was made public in the findings of Rajesh Shukla, a Senior Fellow of the National Council of Applied Economic Research published in the\u00a0Economic\u00a0Times,\u00a0New Delhi, on April 5, 2007, \u00a0reconfirming that there was hardly any difference in the economic status of the Hindus and Muslims.\u00a0Among other things Rajesh Shukla\u2019s survey disclosed that the Sikh community were \u2018the Sardars in Prosperity\u2019 with Christians closely following behind\u00a0 them.<\/p>\n

        The fourth rebuttal of Justice Sachar\u2019s \u00a0false findings came on February 24, 2011,\u00a0in the reply to a Parliament Question answered by\u00a0Vincent H.\u00a0 Pala,\u00a0the\u00a0 Minister of State for Minorities\u00a0 in Lok Sabha\u00a0 admitting that\u00a0 the central government\u00a0 had\u00a0\u00a0 no data pertaining to\u00a0 the number of persons living below the poverty line according to religious denominations. \u00a0If as late as\u00a0 the year 2011, the government \u00a0had no data about\u00a0 the number of\u00a0 Muslims and Hindus living\u00a0 below the poverty line,\u00a0why were the fudged\u00a0 findings of\u00a0\u00a0 Justice\u00a0 Sachar\u00a0 accepted and implemented\u00a0 several years ago?<\/p>\n

        The fifth \u00a0\u00a0demolition\u00a0 of\u00a0 the lies propagated by Sachar\u00a0 Committee came on October 24-25, 2011, when in a Seminar jointly\u00a0 organized \u00a0by the\u00a0\u00a0United Nations Development Programme\u00a0and India\u2019s\u00a0Planning Commission\u00a0at Claridge\u2019s Hotel,\u00a0 two scholars of the Jawaharlal Nehru University (Sukhdeo Thorat and Amaresh Pandey) presented a research paper\u00a0\u00a0reconfirming that there had been\u00a0far greater poverty reduction \u00a0among the Muslims than among the Hindus \u00a0between 2004-2005\u00a0 to 2009-2010.<\/p>\n

        Despite these five research-based rebuttals of \u00a0Sachar Report,\u00a0the multidimensional discrimination against the unwashed daughters and sons of the \u00a0poorest Hindus, living below the poverty line has continued at a fast\u00a0 pace, \u00a0perhaps in deference to the policy announcement made by the Prime Minister\u00a0 in\u00a0 December, 2006, on Sonia \u00a0Gandhi\u2019s birthday.<\/p>\n

        It is, however,\u00a0 for the self-anointed \u00a0Hindu secularists \u00a0to analyse and explain\u00a0 why no poorest of the poor Hindu child was considered eligible for even one \u00a0single scholarship out of twenty million freeships showered by\u00a0Salman Khurshid\u00a0on the\u00a0 privileged children of\u00a0 Muslim and Christian parents. According to a half page advertisement published in\u00a0The Pioneer, New Delhi, on February 15, 2014, \u201cover Rs. 1,95,000 crore of bank credit was showered on 5 minorities\u201d. In sharp contrast, not one\u00a0 rupee\u00a0worth of bank credit was made available to anyone among \u00a0the 34\u00a0 crores\u00a0 Hindus living below the poverty line.<\/p>\n

        Most importantly, Prof. Suresh Tendulkar\u2019s\u00a0 research\u00a0 had revealed that\u00a0 in 2009 approximately 37.2 percent Indians were living\u00a0 below the poverty line. It meant that roughly,\u00a0the unwashed\u00a0 children of 34-35 crore Hindu\u00a0les miserables\u00a0were\u00a0 debarred from applying for scholarships and educational loans in an unethical\u00a0 bid to consolidate a \u00a0vote bank\u00a0of five minorities.\u00a0Such a policy of robbing the\u00a0 poorest on the ground of religion by recourse to a\u00a0 sleight of hand has no parallel\u00a0 in the history of any democratic country. Only an over-clever \u00a0legal eagle like\u00a0Salman Khurshid\u00a0could do it with remarkable dexterity !<\/p>\n

        Now \u00a0time has come for the \u00a0former Prime Minister to explain to \u00a034 crore Hindus living below the poverty line, mostly in rural areas, why their unwashed, emaciated and unlettered children were robbed of the rightful share in 20 million scholarships and educational loans totalling several\u00a0 lakh crore rupees.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
