A short audio message of JeM chief Maulana Masood Azhar was uploaded on one of JeM’s websites registered and hosted in Pakistan to celebrate the terror attack on January 2 and 3.<\/p>\n

In the audio message, Ajhar refers directly to the Pathankot attack and exhorts the JeM attackers.

A copy of the audio clip, which India Today has procured, described the terrorists as \u201cMujahideens\u201d who fought valiantly \u201cIndian tanks, helicopters and Indian forces to reach their goal\u201d.<\/p>\n

The audio message further describes the site of the attack, Pathankot airbase, as \u201cheavenly scene\u201d.<\/p>\n

The JeM chief hails what happened in Pathankot, saying \u201cFour Mujahideens attacked India’s Pathankot airbase at 3 am after Friday. We can only imagine the heavenly scene it would have been. 48 hours later, India hasn’t been able to figure out their numbers or their path.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWho can ever imagine that someone could fight in this cold for 48 hours without sleep and food,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut these men fought tanks and helicopters and kept killing Indian forces,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

He said \u201cIndians who kill unarmed Muslims in Kashmir are now dragging their own dead.<\/p>\n

\u201cLt Col Niranjan of NSG, medal winner Subedar Fateh Singh, all dead and many others.\u201d<\/p>\n

Pointing at the initial Indian confusion regarding the number of terrorists who attacked the base, Ajhar said \u201cIndians first declared all four terrorists are dead, then they repeatedly changed their version.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe big nation is now crying and accusing others like a coward.\u201d<\/p>\n

This was Ajhar’s second audio message against India in about two months. In his earlier audio message two months ago, he had declared \u201cjihad against India\u201d.<\/p>\n

The JeM chief is believed to reside in Pakistan’s Punjab province from where he spreads the tentacles of terror against India<\/p>\n

Hafiz Saeed praises Pathankot air base attack, warns of escalation<\/p>\n

Muzaffarabad: A Pakistani firebrand cleric on Wednesday praised a deadly Indian air base attack in January that threatened to scupper peace efforts between the nuclear rivals.<\/p>\n

Hafiz Saeed, alleged mastermind of the 2008 Mumbai attacks and leader of the banned Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD) group, encouraged further violence following the air base assault in Pathankot that left seven Indian soldiers dead.<\/p>\n

Addressing a rally of around one thousand people in the disputed Pakistan-occupied Kashmir region, Saeed said, “800,000 Indian troops are committing genocide on Kashmiris. Don’t they have a right to carry out Pathankot style attacks for their defence?”<\/p>\n

Saeed, who remains a free man, also lauded Kashmiri terrorist leader Syed Salahuddin, who heads the United Jihad Council (UJC) that has claimed responsibility for the attack. “You have only seen one attack on Pathankot. Matters could easily escalate.”<\/p>\n

Crowds at the rally shouted slogans including “The war will continue until the liberation of Kashmir” and “We are ready for jihad”.<\/p>\n

Indian officials believe another group – the Pakistan based Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) – was behind the siege.
