Expect The Unexpected : If Hamas is not Visibly Decimated, India Will Have Multiple, Foreign Inspired , Direct Action Days of 1946

The severity and the success of Hamas attack from Gaza has inspired the terrorists globally, to launch similar attacks with years of silent preparations camouflaged by visibly and misleading ultra peaceful intents . China and Russia are impregnable walls and are generally impervious to terrorist attacks . West has shown its might by decimating Libya, Iraq and Afghanistan and terrorists will not challenge west with an open attack. Our soft underbelly and weak and fissiparous polity has been exposed several times in IC 814 hijacking, Parliament attack, Mumbai 26/11 attack etc. .
Nothing has changed except small but significant retaliation in Balakot . Jailing of DGP Vanjara for a terrorist and suicide by SSP Ajit Singh Sandhu in Punjab has demoralised our police beyond repair. It will be difficult to find a ‘ sher dil ‘ DGP like KPS Gill after his humiliation on a worthless row with an insignificant IAS Officer . Using a terrorist as human shield by Major Gogoi in Kashmir is perfectly justifiable under a terror attack. Security has a price and nation must learn to pay it ! 
Discovery of 40 AK47 rifles in just one well of Sohrabbuddin Sheikh and his activities of his wife Ishrat Jahan has just given an indication of how much explosives and guns have been stocked in India . On 26 th July 2008 , 21 bombs exploded in Gujrat in just seventy minutes. It is only the fear of reprisals and visible fairness and credible justice system of India , that has led to a truce in all these years.
Hamas attack on Israel has severely disturbed the balance of terror equilibrium. If this equilibrium is not restored by visible decimation of Hamas like Osama Bin Laden after 9/11 , India faces a grave danger of multiple attacks like Direct Action Day of 1946 due to foreign supported and funded divisive movements in the name of democracy , freedom , religion , caste , language etc .
Those who are aware of Jinnah’s tactics in British India , know that Pakistan was really created due to our inability to face the Direct Action Day in 1946 , when on Jinnah’s call , 5000 hindus were killed in Calcutta . If we had the visible ability to more than match it, Jinnah would have backed out . But it would have given British a reason to delay independence. So Gandhi ji and Congress wisely decided to let an unwieldy population with its quarrelsome leaders part ways leaving a sensible India.
But ISI and Pakistan understood our weakness in facing violence so it repeatedly used violence for illegal gains be it Kashmir , Kutch, Mumbai blasts , 26/11 massacre or Parliament attack . Even in 2012 AIMIM, MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi openly and daringly challenged hindus to remove army and police for one day to know what Muslims can do ! The gunpowder is ready to be used !
Hamas massive attack on Israel on 7th October with 7000 rockets , paragliders and boats was indeed daring beyond imagination. It has pushed back the American brokered Abraham peace accord between Arab countries and Israel by a decade . Even by a suicidal move, Hamas has succeeded in stalling and forcibly becoming a relevant party in peace negotiations .
This is a very dangerous precedent whose echoes will be heard all over the globe for a long time . It will inspire such actions in settling all disputes all over the world . India has always gloated in false self confidence of a night walker. But it has been stumped every time by a very daring enemy move. Who could have imagined that a small terror group could thinK of taking Indian Prime Minister hostage in our super secure parliament ! Before the recent Hamas attack, Mumabi 26/11 attack was a text book example of a well researched and coordinated attack next only to 9/11 WTC attack .
World has really no effective defence against small drones , missiles , chemical or biological weapons . Pakistan has already opened a super market of nuclear bombs . The western method of inflicting incredible pain in aftermath is the only prevention .
The nation has to develop a supremely punitive capability. It must not display again the shameful and total surrender to IC 814 hijackers . It must develop composure and resilience to strike back even after a series of ‘ Direct Action Day’ type attacks.
The Indian army’s 2018 strategy of facing and preparing for a short intense war has become redundant after Ukraine . It has to redevelop a new strategy which is more imaginative . We have to substantially increase our woefully inadequate defence expenditure. Our procurement budget must be doubled . Nehru’s mistake of trusting diplomacy more than defence prepared ness must never be repeated .Government must give powers to army to act with out bureaucratic intervention . The old Army’s superiority over bureaucracy , and even courts must be re established. Service Chiefs must have powers to order any equipment indigenous or imported, by passing the tedious tender based procurement system, if considered essential . How can a Babu know more about defence requirement than service chiefs ! Babus use ingenious methods to control armed forces and are our greatest weak link in our defence . Ignorant Babus must be eliminated in war type situation . A separate ATS wing should be under army with capability in all modern warfare / terror methods with renowned scientists and engineers . Army must be above police and bureaucracy. In a war only army can help and it must be self sufficient , empowered and under one command . The normal intelligence systems like RAW /IB can continue in addition .
The British informer based system needs to be revitalised . SPs in districts must be given more powers and should not be placed under civil service , by adopting Police Commissioner system in all cities with more than twenty lakh population .
In general , the Hamas attack has disturbed a terror equilibrium which must be restored by its total and visible decimation .
