Beyond The Victory Over Hamas : Greed , Injustice or False Pride Will Make Israel Insecure In The Long Run : Just Two State Solution And Free Jerusalem essential.

Hamas made a big mistake by attacking civilians with sickening barbarity , without any provocation . It will be wiped out from Gaza and PA for this unpardonable mistake.
Israel was able to get away by this over reaction ,in General Dyer Jallian Wala Bagh style, because the whole world could see that Hamas was an in human terrorist organisation like ISIS . By no stretch of imagination it could be called a freedom fighter army. Its continued rejection of right of existence of Israel made it a further pariah organisation and a threat to global peace. Its financiers like Iran , Qatar etc. too further lost credibility with this irresponsible attack on innocent civilians.
The Islamic countries like Turkey , Pakistan etc. further lost credibility as responsible nations as not only they failed to publicly criticize Hamas on its brutal attack but they even justified reprehensibly brutality as justified freedom struggle. Al Fatah / PA president Mehamud Abbas’s reasonable mild criticism made him further unpopular in PA and the long imprisoned Marwan Barghouti is rising as the new Nelson Mandela . 87 year old Abbas could use his limited active life to take risk for selling a durable and just peace accord to all . Defeat of Hamas and destruction of Gaza has given him a new opportunity as PA would normally be made in charge of Gaza also . His quick rehablitation and reconstruction of war torn population may make him grudgingly acceptable for a few more years.

Although prime minister Netanyahu had initially vacated Hebron in good faith and was justified in demanding that Fatah accept Israel’s existence unconditionally but his expansion into west bank violated the spirit of Oslo accord . Also Yasser Arafat description of Oslo accord as Treaty Of Hudibyah by prophet ,for gaining breathing space , also vitiated the atmosphere . Arafat paid the price as did PM Rabin , Sadat and others but durable peace is worth it. The provocative OIC , Iran , Pakistan and now Turkey are making peace impossible as also president Trump’s offer of shifting US embassy to Jerusalem .
Hamas got isolated this time but Israel’s next war will be far more devastating for all . Unjust Israel may become another pariah state Rhodesia or South Africa if it mercilessly tramples PA rights further .
Therefore all responsible leaders should support the 
two viable state solution with neutral Jerusalem and a new capital for Palestine .
