Mythology vs History : पौराणिक कथाएं या इतिहास; भारत व् अन्य देश

अँगरेज़ इतिहासकारों ने भारतीय पुराणों को इतिहास न मान कर मात्र मिथक करार दे दिया . इसका मुख्य कारण साक्ष्यों का न होना था . भारतीय ज्ञान श्रुति पर आधारित था . इसके विपरीत बुद्ध व् जैन ग्रंथों मैं वर्णन लिखा मिल जाता है . सेलुकास के साथ आये मेगास्थ्नेस की पुस्तकों मैं व् गजनी के साथ आये अल बिरूनी की पुस्तकों मैं कुछ विवरण मिल जाता है . परन्तु विशुद्ध हिन्दू इतिहास लिखने की परम्परा नहीं है.इस लिए हिन्दू संस्कृति को बहुत कम आंका जाता है . यह सच है की मोहनजोदरो की व्यापार की सील मेसोपोटामिया व् सुमेर सभ्यता के अवशेषों मैं मिली हैं . हमारे ऋग्वेद व् पुराणों के अब साक्ष्य मिलने लगे हैं . सरस्वती नदी तो लगभग ढूंढ ही ली गयी है . इसी तरह महाभारत मैं लिखी द्वारका के डूबने की कथा भी अब सच लगती है क्योंकि समुद्र मैं डूबे हुए शहर मिल गए हैं . हिन्दू पुराणों मैं नक्षत्रों का विस्तृत वर्णन है जिसको अब कंप्यूटर की सहयता से लगभग सच सिद्ध किया जा सकता है . हमारे रघुवंश व् यदु वंश को पूर्णतः नहीं नकारा जा सकता . कोई क्यों इतने लम्बे झूठे वंशावली को लिखेगा . कुछ खुदाई मैं महाभारत के बाद बड़ी बाढ़ जिसके कारण हस्तिनापुर को छोडा गया था अब साक्ष्यों से सच लगता है . इसलिए पुराणों को पूरी तरह झूठ भी नहीं कहा जा सकता .
किन्तु गणेश को प्लास्टिक सर्जरी य पार्वतीदेवी द्वारा मिटटी के गणेश मैं प्राण फूंकने को य द्रौपदी के जन्म को सरोगेट जन्म कहना भी अतिशयोक्ती होगी . इसलिए पौराणिक कथाओं को पूर्णतः सच्चा इतिहास मानना उतना ही गलत होगा जितना उनको पूर्णतः झूठ मानना . इसके लिए प्रयास जारी रखने चाहिए . पिछले कुछ दशकों मैं पूरी सिन्धु घाटी सभ्यता के भारत मैं अनेकों प्रमाण मिल गए हैं . कोशिश करने पर और भी मिल सकते हैं . इसके लिए तिब्बत व् चीन की पुरानी बौद्ध पुस्तकों को भी पढ़ना चाहिए . ब्राह्मी लिपि को बढ़ पाना शायद अरब देशों की खुदाई से संभव हो पाए .
नीचे लिखी ई मेल मैं विश्व के अनेक देशों की ऐसी पौराणिक कथाएं हैं जिन्हें सच मानना कठिन है . इनका भी हमें ख्याल रखना चाहिए .

Theirs is Mythology; ours, history
Ancient Egyptians were much more advanced in head transplant surgery than Indians. Even ancient Greeks matched our skills in this field. Here is the list: Egypt: Anubis (dog), Bastet (lioness), Khnum (ram), Ra (eagle), Sobek (crocodile), Thoth (ibis) Greece: Minotaur (bull) And, they went even further; they could transplant human heads on animal torsos, too! Sphinx, Centaur, and so on. They could even put the head of one animal on the torso of another! Or, plant horns on a horse's head (Unicorn)! Egyptians were also expert aviation technologists. The hieroglyph in the temple of Seti-1 in Abydos, Egypt depicts helicopters and aeroplanes strikingly similar in appearance to modern machines. Mayans were expert space travellers. The lid on the sarcophagus of King Pakal in the ancient city of Palenque in Mexico shows a helmeted figure with his hand on a control stick and looking at an instrument panel. Of course, the Arabs had the last word in aeronautics with their devilishly simple contraption - the flying carpet! Let's now come to the conception and pregnancy outside the womb. Here again the ancient Greeks were miles ahead of Indians - they could not only hatch the human egg outside the womb but were also experts in surrogate pregnancy. Zeus, taking a swan's form, seduced Nemesis, who laid an egg, which was swallowed by Leda, leading to the birth of Helen. Of course, Aztecs, too, achieved no mean feat in this cutting edge technology. Coatlicue produced Huitzilopochtli from a ball of fluff - cloning or, DNA slicing? And, while we marvel in awe about the marine bridge construction technology in ancient India, the ancient Jews and Greeks also knew a thing or two about taming and diverting mighty waters. Moses parted the Red Sea to lead his people from Egypt. Hercules diverted two rivers - Alpheus and Peneus - to clean the Augean stables. Now a little peek into the technology for advanced weaponry. Well, here we have a rather crowded scenario: Ireland (Lugh's spear Areadbhair and sword Fragarach), China (iron rod of Sun Wukong, the Monkey King), Norway (Thor's lightning bolt Mjölnir), just to name of few; there are dozens of others. Finally, Krishna holding up the Govardhan mountain and Hanuman flying all the way from the Himalayas to Lanka with the Gandhmadan mountain in his hand pale in comparison with Atlas balancing the whole Earth on his shoulders. But you will never hear the Egyptian, Mexican, Israeli, Chinese, Saudi, Greek, Irish or the Norwegian president, prime minister and other important public figures, while speaking at scientific fora or from public platforms, claiming these as scientific and technological feats of their hoary past . Why? Very simple, silly! Theirs is all mythology, whereas ours are documented facts, with all archeological and historical evidences.
