यह देश एक बार गलती कर चुका है .पांचाली के वस्त्रहरण पर भीष्म की ध्रितराष्ट की सभा मैं चुप्पी बहुत महँगी पड़ी थी .उस चुप्पी की कीमत हस्तिनापुर को महाभारत के रक्त्संहांर से चुकानी पड़ी थी.
इतिहास पुनः अपने आप को दोहरा रहा है .दुर्गा शक्ति नागपाल ने अदम्य साहस दिखाया . बजाय उसकी कर्तव्य परायणता को पुरस्कृत करने के उसे सस्पेंड कर दिया.उसकी सहायता मैं आवाज़ न उठाने के बहुत दूरगामी परिणाम होंगे . अब देश मैं आदर्शवादी व् साहसी लोगों की बहुत कमी हो गयी है. नयी पीढ़ी मैं अभी लालच नहीं आया है. अवैध रेत खनन व् अवैध मस्जिद बनाने वालों से टक्कर ले कर दुर्गा ने अपने कर्तव्य का प्लान किया . ऐसे मैं उसका सस्पेंशन एक राजनैतिक साज़िश है जो यदि सफल होगई तो देश से आदर्श सदा के लिए मिट जायेगा . हमें दुर्गा के लिए नहीं बल्कि अपने भविष्य के लिए उसका साथ देना चाहिए . अन्ना हजारे व् केजरीवाल अब कहाँ हैं ? जनरल वी के सिंह अब कहाँ हैं ? राजनीतिज्ञों को तो अपने वोट की रोटी सेकनी है . परन्तु कोई तो देश मैं देश के हित मैं भी बोले.
हम सबको जोरदार आवाज़ बुलंद कर दुर्गा का साथ देना चाहिए.

MUMBAI: Coming out against the controversial suspension of
IAS officer Durga Shakti Nagpal (Sub-Divisional Officer) by Uttar Pradesh government,
Sebi chairman U K Sinha today lamented that “collective consciousness” does not get roused by such incidents, and called for a “soul searching”.”It does not arouse our collective consciousness if a
young officer is suspended for taking action against a group of people who are organised criminals, (who are) stealing natural resources,” Sinha, a career bureaucrat and an IAS officer himself, said here in a speech.
He, though, did not name Durga Shakti Nagpal, the UP cadre IAS officer who was suspended.
“What happens to the same collective consciousness that has impelled people to come on roads and
do a night vigil in a cold night? It requires some soul searching that what type of civil servants we want?” he
said, without specifically mentioning the public outrage over gang rape in Delhi.Saying that nobody can defend an “insensitive bureaucracy,” Sinha also said
that often there is no appreciation of the good work of bureaucrats.Nagpal was suspended by the
Akhilesh Yadav government for allegedly ordering demolition
of a religious structure on a public land, but it has been alleged that real reason was her campaign
against the powerful sand mining mafia in the Gautam Buddha Nagar (Noida) district, where she is posted.Sinha, a
Bihar-cadre IAS officer, was delivering the 19th Lalit Doshi memorial lecture
here this evening on ‘Public service: The shifting paradigm’. Sinha also said that RTI Act and public interest litigations and statutory bodies like the Comptroller & Auditor General — though pragmatic and democracy-strengthening in themselves — are adding to the woes of government officials.”She/he (a civil servant) doesn’t want to take the risk because that is not high priority… decision-making
has taken a beating, there is no premium for decision making…there is no scope for any honest mistake,”
Sinha said.
