Friends,In the city of Pomona, east of Los Angeles, the main street wasGanesha Blvd.
The founder of this city believed in Lord Ganesha.
In 1990, this thoroughfare was renamed Fairplex Drive.
Even then, there are Ganesha Park, Ganesha Hills, and Ganesha Placein Pamona today.
In Los Angeles downtown, there is a street, Vignes Street. I do not knowhow the name originated.Swastika, Ontario
Swastika is a small community founded in Northern Ontario, Canada in1908. The town was named after the Sanskrit good-luck symbol Swastika.
Swastika is a junction on the Ontario Northland Railway. Until 2012, theNorthlander passenger railway service between Toronto and Cochraneserved the Swastika railway station.
During World War II, the provincial government removed the Swastika signand replaced it with a sign renaming the town “Winston.” The residentsremoved the Winston sign and replaced it with a Swastika sign with themessage, “To hell with Hitler, we came up with our name first.
