There was absolutely no need to nuclear bomb Hiroshima and Nagasaki during World War – II because Japan had very well offered to surrender and accept peace !! Yet it was bombed, scores perished and maimed….

Albert Einstein escaped from Germany leaving behind incomplete project to develop nuclear weapons for Adolf Hitler, the then ambitious German Chancellor who aspired to conquer and rule over entire Europe if not the whole world. Einstein wrote a letter to the then US President Roosevelt saying, “I have escaped from Germany and I am ready to make atom bombs for America. Without atom bombs, you cannot defeat Germany. And there is also a fear that somebody may be able to complete the experiment that I have left incomplete, because there were many scientists working with me, under me.” President Roosevelt responded immediately, invited him to complete the experiment and provided all facilities that Einstein demanded.

When the bombs were ready, White House housed Harry Truman as President as Roosevelt had retired into history by then. Einstein told President Truman categorically, “Now there is no need to use them because Germany has committed a historical mistake.” THE HISTORICAL MISTAKE mentioned by Einstein was so tempting that so many other forces had committed earlier with the same outcome of disastrous defeat. And the mistake was invading Russia ! By that time American egoism had burgeoned and Truman did not care to even reply to Einstein. Bombs were ready, lying in the hands of maverick, war-hungary politicians and nobody cared about Einstein now. Einstein raised his voice by saying, “Now there is no need. Germany is finished and within two weeks at the most, Japan will be finished because Japan cannot stand on it’s own. It needs German support…There is no need to use these bombs.”

However, the beast hidden in President Truman was in a tearing hurry to experiment with the bombs before Japan could surrender as then, America would have lost an opportunity to showcase their brute might to the world. Japan was ready to surrender while Truman ordered, “Before the surrender at least we should try out how much power we have. Once the war ends, we won’t have any opportunity.”

To the utter shock and dismay of the world, more so for Einstein, Hiroshima and Nagasaki were bombed and destroyed brutally…gory details of the pogrom and consequences aftermath across several generations, are too well known and repeated several times over after that.

Deeply anguished and dejected Albert Einstein was asked before his death, “If you are born again, wouln’t you like to be a physicist ?” He responded agonisingly, “Never ! If I am born again, I would rather be plumber than a physicist. Enough is enough. I have seen how I worked day in, day out to create the atomic weapons. They were for an emergency but once they were created, I had no power over them. I had created them but once they were created, politicians had the keys in their hands. And my letter was not even answered ! I am dying one of the most frustrated men on the earth.”

Being a man of conscience, Nobel Laureate Albert Einstein died deeply hurt, tormented with the monstrosity of ugly, murderous politicians.
THE BLOOD-BATH IN HIROSHIMA & NAGASAKI WAS JUST NOT REQUIRED AT ALL.
And America owes a lot to Japan, shall continue to owe for hundreds of years irrespective of whatever penance they perform in return.
