Minority Persecution: BDMW Press Conference
Source: Different Bangladesh dailies/ BDMW: Bangladesh Minority Watch (BDMW) and Bangladesh Center for Human Rights and Development (BCHRD) with collaboration of Global Human Rights Defense (GHRD) concluded a Press conference on 7th November, 2014 at the Auditorium of Dhaka National Press Club, Bangladesh on Publication of “Human Rights Report of Religious Minorities-2014.” Minority victims from various parts of Bangladesh appeared at the Conference Hall and expressed their experiences of sufferings such as abduction/rape/gang-rapes/murder/forceful conversion/forceful occupation of their lands and continuous intimidation to leave Bangladesh. The event was presided over by Supreme Court Advocate Subrata Chowdhury, who is a Presidium Member of Bangladesh Hindu Boudda Christian Oikya Parishad. In the press conference BDMW gave some statistic on minority persecution in Bangladesh.
These are: 1) 1699 minority temples were demolished,
2) 5050 minority families forcefully displaced from their own land and properties,
3) 406 forcefully converted to Islam, 302 were killed,
4) 392 were raped and 2900 physically assaulted,
5) 50 persons were assaulted under the police custody and one was killed in Gopalgong police custody.
They also showed some data of last two years, these are:
706 Hindus girls are forcefully converted to Islam
302 Minorities person have been killed
292 Minority woman and children have been raped and gang raped
2900 Minority person have been physically tortured
5050 Minority person have been displaced
3128 Hindus house burnt and looted
1699 Hindu temple have been demolished and burnt
Jamaat-ul-Mujahedeen wanted Islamic State in three West Bengal districts & Bangladesh

This now confirms that JUMB had evil designs for India as well ever since their arrival here in 2007.

Temples vandalised
in Brahmanbaria
Brahmanbaria Correspondent, bdnews24.com: Published: 2014-11-08: Five temples have been vandalised in a Brahmanbaria village following allegation that a Hindu man had defamed Prophet Muhammad on Facebook, police say. The temples – Loknath Mandir, Kali Mandir, Ramthakurer Mandir, Doyamoy Mandir, and Anukul Thakurer Mandir – are located at Lalpur village in Ashuganj Upazila. Police have detained three Lalpur residents – Md Babul Mia, 21, Md Rasel Mia, 20, and Md Jewel Mia, 18 – for the attacks. A case is being filed over the incident.

Members of banned militant outfit Harkat-ul Jihad Al-Islami Bangladesh (Huji-B) are receiving special military training from Pakistani militant outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), the police have learned. “At least seven members of Huji-B have returned to Bangladesh after getting military training from Lashkar-e-Taiba over the last two years. They also had plans to send other members to undergo training and join the so-called jihad,” said Monirul Islam, joint commissioner of the Detective Branch (DB) of police. Source: Dhaka Tribune

An inter-continental conference Call of BHBCUC was held on Saturday, 18
th Oct 2014 among 4 continents, 8 countries and a dozen leaders. The meeting univocally condemned Mamota Banerjee for Bardhhaman blast and giving shelter of Bangladeshi Jamati terrorists in West Bengal. The meeting also welcomes both Dhaka & Delhi for their endeavor to uproot Islamic terrorists from Bangladesh and West Bengal.
Attack in Hindu locality
Benapole Correspondent, BDNews24.com: Published 18th Oct 2014: A group of people attacked and destroyed Hindu houses at Sarsha in Jessore. The perpetrators looted money and valuables also. It is learnt that One Sohrab Hasan (Muslim) and Naren Mondol (Hindu) had some hot exchange in a; local market. Later Sohrab Hasan and his people bombed a temple and several Hindu houses and looted rampantly. A case has been filed against 17 people and police arrested 6.
13 indigenous women and girls subjected to violence in two months
In is very alarming that in two months from 11 September to 6 November 2014, at least 13 indigenous women and girls (eleven from Chittagong Hill Tracts and two from plain lands) have been subjected to violence including rape, attempt to rape, physical assault and abduction. Two indigenous girls (one is 13 year and another is 4 year old) have been raped by Bengali Muslim settlers in Chittagong Hill Tracts. Besides, three indigenous women and girls were physically assaulted, five have been attempted to rape, two young women rescued from captivity and one indigenous woman is attempted to kidnap. Among the victims, the age of five victims is above 18 years and eight victims are below 18.

HRCBM demand cancellation of 24May 2014 land ministry circular

The circular issued by the Ministry of Land vide no- 31.00.0000.045.065.12(Part)-242 dated: 22 May 2014 enjoys that anybody claiming property included in the newly repealed vested property ‘kha’ schedule property requires to establish his titles in respect of the property claimed within the period of one year from the date of publication of the circular, failing which the property shall become government khas land under the provision of Section 92 of the State Acquisition & Tenancy Act-1950.
Reports gather from all concerns of the country indicate that more than Six lakh (0.6 million) mutation cases have already been filed before the Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Tahsil offices in the country and more are being filed every day. Then for even 1% ( one parent)of the person cases has not been disposed of since the annulment of Kha list and things have been made extremely difficult for the relief seekers by the beurocratic Mechanizations on dubious grounds which in most cases tantamount to extortion and denial of justice. Human Rights Congress for Bangladesh Minorities ( HRCBM), an NGO in special consultative status with ECOSOC of the United Nations and also registered under Bangladesh society Act, appeals to the Prime Minister of Bangladesh to kindly look into the matter on the priority basis so that the sufferers are not made to suffer further losses and humiliation at the behest of interested quarters, which is the sole beneficiaries of the Vested Property Laws ,the government never got benefit out of vested property. Pakistan: Christian Couple Burned Alive on Blasphemy Charges
A young couple was burned alive by a mob in Pakistan for what appears to be trumped up charges of blasphemy over a monetary dispute.
A young couple, Shahbaz Maseeh, 26, and his wife Shama Bibi, 24 — parents of four small children and another on the way, was burned alive by a mob in Pakistan for what appears to be trumped up charges of blasphemy. Relatives of the couple say that the real issue was a monetary dispute involving the couple’s employers. After a local mullah made a public ruling that the couple was guilty of blasphemy by throwing out pages of a Quran.

The diplomats from Bangladesh and India today, 15
th November 2014, called the governments for deepening and widening economic engagement and intensifying security cooperation for mutual benefit of peoples of the two countries.
The call was made by over a dozen of former high commissioners, who previously served in Dhaka and New Delhi on the concluding day of the two-day, November 14-15 ,2014 first ever Bangladesh-India High Commissioners’ Summit at the Senate Hall of Dhaka University.
The summit of retired diplomats,
organized by the international relations department of the University of Dhaka with support from the India-Bangladesh Foundation, adopted a nine-point Dhaka Declaration which chartered the future course of relations.
It reaffirmed that the two countries should strengthen their friendly relations on the basis of mutual trust, amity and cooperation in the best interests of the peoples of Bangladesh and India by protecting their democratic values and rights.
1. Welcome the convening of the first Bangladesh-India high Commissioners’ Summit in Dhaka,
organized by the Department of International Relations, University of Dhaka with support from the India-Bangladesh Foundation, and thank the organizers
2. Encourage the Governments of Bangladesh and India to intensify their efforts to strengthen their relationship by taking a holistic approach in addressing bilateral issues and challenges
3.
Recognize the importance of deeper and effective communications at the popular level through greater and comprehensive flow of information and contacts between students, academicians, print and electronic media, corporate sector, environmentalists and other stakeholders in order to build enhanced level of awareness, mutual trust and confidence
4.
Emphasize the importance of deepening and widening economic engagement between the two countries with particular focus on free and increasing flow of goods and services including investment and financial services
5. Call upon the Governments of Bangladesh and India to intensify their cooperation on all security related matters
6. Urge to undertake a holistic approach in the exploration and utilization of shared and other natural resources for mutual benefit of the people of the two countries
7. Emphasis the importance of and the need for strengthening cooperation at
sub-regional and regional levels with particular focus on Saarc and Bimstec
8. Decide to form
Alumni of the High Commissioners of Bangladesh and India who have served in the two countries for regular interaction and sharing of experiences among themselves and with other stakeholders
9. Recommend the continuation of our interaction by
organizing regular biennial Summits and propose to hold the next Summit in India in 2016
