Patriotism or treason ? : Fanatics remove ‘Ashok Chakra’ from national flag, replace it with crescent

Hyderabad : The birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammed, Milad-un-Nabi, was celebrated with enthusiasm and reverence in the city on Sunday. The celebrations went off pe…acefully without any untoward incidents.
Hundreds of people took part in celebration by holding green flags while participating in the procession organised on the occasion. A public meeting was held at Moghalpura Ground. The old city was decked up for the occasion with green flags and huge banners.
Police made elaborate security arrangements in the old city to maintain law and order. Security personnel were deployed around the places of worship and public places. Over 8,000 policemen were deployed and 500 CCTV cameras were installed as part of the security arrangements.
In order to relieve traffic congestion, to maintain smooth flow of traffic and to ensure public safety, traffic restrictions were imposed from Afzal Gunj towards Madina crossroads, Nagulchintha/Shalibanda, Kotla Alijah towards Charminar, MGBS Exit gate towards Nayapool and Darulshifa and Puranapool, Moosabowli.
