From A WhatsApp Group Food For Thought : Who Is Destroying Hinduism

Why blame Muslims for loss of Hindu Culture & Traditions in India?
{01}
In our Muslim homes, when a child starts walking, he learns to hold his father’s finger and go to the mosque for prayer, and continues that practice as a duty throughout life.
But your people have stopped going to temples.
Even if you go, it’s only for 5–10 minutes, and that too only to ask for something or seek relief from troubles.
So if your children grow up not knowing why they should go to temples, what they should do there, or that worshipping God is their duty —
how are we MUSLIMS responsible for that?
{02}
When your convent-educated children recite English poems, you feel proud.
But truly, you should have felt proud if your children recited the Navkar Mantra, Gayatri Mantra, or some respectful shlokas.
On the contrary, when they cannot recite anything from your traditions, you don’t even feel regret or guilt!
In our homes, a father’s head bows in shame if his child can’t recite a simple prayer in front of relatives.
We teach our children to greet elders with “Salaam” as soon as they learn to speak.
You’ve replaced “Pranam” and “Namaste” with “Hello” and “Hi.”
Are we to blame for that?
{03}
A boy from our Muslim religion, even after studying in a convent, learns Urdu and Arabic and reads our holy scriptures.
But your child neither goes to a Hindu pathshala nor learns Sanskrit — and even proper Hindi is difficult for him. They cannot even count in Hindi.
or in any other mother tongue.
Is that our fault too?
{04}
You had everything — culture, history, traditions!
But you gave them up in a blind race for (so-called) modernity.
We didn’t. That’s the only difference.
You yourselves have abandoned your roots!
We ( Muslims) didn’t leave ours in the past, and we’re not willing to leave them now either.
Modern Hindu mothers do not follow basic व्रत like एकादशी, संकष्ठी at home & they themselves can not recite
(by heart) रामरक्षा हनुमान चालीसा or even simple evening prayers like शुभ॔करोती or शांताकारम etc So .. how can these modern hindu mothers teach their children these basic Hindu prayers?
Therefore the Hindu cultural tradition is slowly getting lost.
{05}
The awareness to protect one’s identity should naturally exist in every living community.
But in your case, you have to *tell* YOUR people to stay awake.
{06}
Just think how tragic this is!
from where does this fear of losing your Hindu culture arise?
What’s the real cause of your insecurity?
Are *we* MUSLIMS that cause?
{7}
You yourself don’t set an example through your own behavior & actions.
People don’t see you as being truly connected to your roots — and that’s why, not only in your society but even in your own family, no one listens to your religious thoughts.
In the same way, others in your society also behave just like you — with the same double standards and hypocrisy.
That’s why no one listens to anyone in your Hindu Society
Is that *our* fault?

Hindu married women have not only stopped covering their heads with their saree pallus, they’ve even stopped wearing sarees altogether… even the dupatta has disappeared.
Who stopped them?
We didn’t lead you to this decline… We Muslims are not responsible for it.
Look how half dressed Hindu girls & women parade in TV serials & programs.
Why are they not properly dressed?
{09}
The tilak and bindi used to be Hindu identity, right?
You used to consider a bare forehead as inauspicious, a sign of sorrow or misfortune.
Now, most Hindu Women have stopped applying tilak before leaving home in pursuit of modernity and fashion, trying to look more “forward”. Some have even abandoned the bindi.
Where are Muslims at fault here?
{10}
Traditional Hindu sacred ceremonies like marriages and engagements have been corrupted with indecent pre-wedding rituals… (which are not a part of Hindu Vedic marriage rituals).
Birthdays and anniversaries have been turned into Western-style celebrations.
Is this our fault?
*Please reflect deeply on this.
Though this is the bitter truth, I don’t think this is written by a muslim. It must be a hindu who is worried deeply about the present state of affairs . — a correspondent
